CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
The certificate III in Individual Support course will prepare you for work in the aged care industry. The training program will prepare you for a carer’s role in the aged care community and/or residential setting that follows an individualized plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability, or other health reasons.

Workers involved in Individual Support need the physical capacity to deal with a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person-centred support.

Domestic & International students:
All students will need to complete a Pre-Training Review (PTR) before enrolling to ensure your suitability for undertaking this course. All students must complete a Language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) assessment as part of the PTR.

A satisfactory National Police Clearance (not older than 3 months at time of enrolment)

Completion of NDIS Online module- ‘Worker Orientation Module: Quality, safety and You’.

Completion of COVID-19 infection control training from Department of Health

Flu vaccination + updated vaccination record

Have a reasonable level of fitness to cope with standing, lifting, bending, twisting and reaching

Are physically, mentally and emotionally healthy to respond appropriately to personal needs​

Valid IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent, with no score below 5.0 in any band

Evidence of successful completion of at least five (5) years (full-time equivalent) study taught and assessed in English.

Completion of an Australian Certificate III qualification or higher AQF level.

Work placement: 120 hours
Self-study sessions: Students need to allocate around 12 hours of self- study time per week to enhance their understanding and complete some assessment tasks.
